Our Puppy Preschool program is designed to give puppies the right start during their most important developmental stage. This four-week group course introduces young dogs to structured learning in a safe, supportive environment at our McHenry training studio.

Created specifically for puppies between 10 and 18 weeks old, Puppy Preschool focuses on building confidence, encouraging healthy socialization, and establishing early communication between puppies and their owners.

Why Early Training Matters

The first months of a dog’s life play a major role in how they respond to people, environments, and expectations. Without guidance, puppies often develop behaviors that are difficult to correct later. Puppy preschool introduces structure, boundaries, and consistency early, helping puppies learn how to navigate the world calmly and confidently.

What Your Puppy Will Learn

Each one-hour class is thoughtfully structured to combine foundational skills with positive exposure experiences.

Throughout the program Your puppy will learn:

Name recognition and engagement

Gentle handling exercises to build comfort and trust

Basic commands such as sit

“Take it / Leave it” impulse control games

“Watch me” focus-building exercises

Guided socialization with new people, puppies, and environments

This combination helps puppies learn how to stay calm, curious, and responsive while navigating new situations.

A Structured, Small-Group Experience

Classes are held every Saturday at 11:00 AM and are limited to 10 puppies per session to ensure personalized attention from our experienced trainers. This small-group format allows puppies to gain valuable peer exposure while still receiving individual guidance.

Owners should bring high-value treats and up-to-date vaccination records to participate.
